We ask that charges for office visits, including those covered by private insurance, be paid by cash, check, or credit card before you leave the office. This helps us keep costs down by saving on billing staff and related costs. We will give you an itemized bill before you leave the office, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
We accept Medicare assignment for covered services and participate in Healthnet and several other HMOs/PPOs. However, Medicare and many of the HMOs/PPOs do not cover the refractive examination (for glasses) and have a copayment even on covered services. These charges are also payable at the time of services.
